THERAPY SERVICES

You've been holding it all together, even when no one noticed how heavy it's been. Feeling misunderstood, judged, or unseen can make it hard to open up, but you don't have to keep carrying it alone. In therapy, there's room for all of who you are, your story, your struggles, and your strength. This is a space to lay some of that weight down and begin healing, at your pace. I'm here to support you every step of the way. Therapy with me includes personalized strategies, tools, and a direct, empathetic approach that helps you see progress

I specialize in depression, anger, anxiety, trauma, foster care & adoption, parent/child relational struggles, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ identity support. I could help you manage these symptoms and behaviors with guided mental health therapy. My work addresses a variety of mental health and social challenges, with therapy services available online and in-person for clients in California only

I am also an advocate, speaker, and researcher. Throughout my career in education and administration, I have worked with diversed and marginalized communities - foster, homeless, and probation youth; LGBTQ and youth of color; immigrants; and undocumented people. I have two Associate degrees: an A.S. in Criminal Justice and an A.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I earned my Bachelor's in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside and my Master's in Clinical Social Work from Smith College, which brings the most effective mental health services to those who need them.

I have extensive knowledge and experience on issues related to self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, parent/child relational struggles, life transitions, relationships, family dynamics, foster care & adoption, immigration, incarceration, LGBTQ+, self-identity, early childhood trauma, career and personal development, and school issues (middle school, high school, university).

I take an empathetic approach to working with clients, having in mind their unique backgrounds and needs. I strongly believe that you are the expert on your experience, and I am here to listen, guide, and support you on your journey.

I have practiced therapy with teenagers, and adults. I also worked in the counseling department at Los Angeles Pierce College 7 years ago under the supervision of a counselor and the dean. I worked at Los Angeles Pierce College as a Career and Guidance Counselor Assistant for the Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES). In this role, I supported current and former foster youth in achieving their educational goals and transferring to a four-year university. In addition to this experience, I have worked and/or partnered with educational institutions, nonprofits, and government entities.

I have a relational, intersectional, and social justice approach when working with others. If you're looking for a therapist near me who understands the unique experiences of immigrants, LGBTQ+, foster youth & adoption, men's issues, women's issues, trauma survivors - I am here to support you. I have a deep understanding of the social challenges many people encounter. I am an advocate in the U.S. and internationally. I have years of experience working with communities from different backgrounds. As a Spanish speaking therapist in Los Angeles, my goal is to provide affordable services to monolingual Spanish speaking individuals. Working with a therapist near me could be convenient for clients who want to meet in person. I provide therapy services in person, but I also meet with clients online in the state of California, only.
